Abu Dhabi Plants More Than 14 Million Seasonal Flowers and Expands Parks

Abu Dhabi is adding more colour to its streets while creating new spaces where residents can exercise, relax and spend time outdoors.

Abu Dhabi City Municipality planted more than 14 million seasonal flowers across the city and mainland during 2025.

The municipality also completed four new neighbourhood parks and upgraded existing recreational spaces.

The seasonal planting programme formed part of the municipality’s annual achievements.

Flowers were arranged across streets and public areas through coordinated landscaping displays.

The work aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s visual identity and create more welcoming surroundings.

The municipality completed four new Fareej Parks in Al Falah, Al Samha, Al Rahba and Al Bahia.

The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an funded the projects.

The new parks include multi-purpose sports courts, padel courts and children’s play areas.

Visitors can also find fitness facilities, seating areas and spaces designed for relaxation.

The municipality has also improved facilities at Al Bahia Park.

Upgrades included new flooring, playground equipment and modern lighting columns.

Workers also added rubberised surfaces designed to support safety and quality standards.

Abu Dhabi continues to invest in parks, landscaping and accessible public recreation areas.

These spaces give families places to exercise, play, relax and spend time together close to home.

The projects also support active lifestyles and stronger social interaction within neighbourhoods.

The new landscaping and community facilities combine beautification with practical recreational infrastructure.

They also support the emirate’s wider focus on liveability and sustainable urban development.

With millions of flowers and upgraded parks, Abu Dhabi continues to build more welcoming public spaces.
