AED 1.1 Billion in Real Estate Trade Recorded in Sharjah’s Central and Eastern Regions in H1

Sharjah’s real estate sector continued its upward trajectory in the first half of the year, with the Central and Eastern regions recording AED 1.1 billion in total real estate transactions, according to data released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD).

The figures reflect sustained investor confidence in Sharjah’s expanding property market, driven by infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and rising demand for residential and commercial assets across the emirate’s emerging districts.

Strong Performance Across Key Regions

The report highlighted notable activity in the cities of Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid, and Mleiha, where both residential and mixed use developments have attracted local and international investors. These regions have benefited from government led urban expansion projects, enhanced road networks, and new community facilities.

Transaction Breakdown

SRERD confirmed that the AED 1.1 billion in trade includes:

•    Sales transactions across land plots, residential units, and commercial properties
•    Mortgage deals reflecting increased financing activity
•    Investment transactions linked to new development zones

Land sales accounted for a significant portion of the total value, underscoring continued interest in Sharjah’s suburban and coastal areas.

Government Initiatives Fuel Growth

Sharjah’s ongoing infrastructure upgrades—particularly in the Eastern region—have played a pivotal role in boosting real estate demand. Projects such as the Khorfakkan Road expansion, new residential communities, and tourism focused developments have strengthened the emirate’s appeal for investors seeking long term value.

Officials noted that the emirate’s balanced regulatory environment, competitive pricing, and strategic location continue to position Sharjah as one of the UAE’s most attractive real estate markets.

Positive Outlook for 2026

Market analysts expect transaction volumes to rise further in the second half of the year, supported by new project launches and increased investor interest in Sharjah’s coastal and mountain cities. The emirate’s focus on sustainable development and community centric planning is also anticipated to drive future growth.
