Ajman Announces New Taxi Fare of Dh1.93 Per Kilometre for August 2026
Ajman: The Ajman Transport Authority has announced a new taxi fare of Dh1.93 per kilometre for August 2026, following the UAE's latest fuel price revision.
The revised fare came into effect after the country's monthly fuel price adjustment for August, which is reflected in taxi tariffs across several emirates. The updated pricing is part of the fare adjustment mechanism linked to changes in fuel costs.
Under the new tariff, passengers using taxis in Ajman will be charged Dh1.93 per kilometre, while existing flag-fall charges and other approved fees remain applicable in accordance with the authority's regulations.
The Transport Authority said the monthly fare review ensures that taxi operating costs remain aligned with fuel price movements while maintaining reliable and efficient transportation services for residents and visitors.
The adjustment follows the UAE Fuel Price Committee's announcement of higher petrol and diesel prices for August 2026, prompting transport authorities in several emirates to revise taxi fares in line with the latest fuel costs.
Ajman's taxi network plays an important role in the emirate's public transport system, providing round-the-clock services through a modern fleet equipped with digital meters and safety features.
Passengers are encouraged to check the latest fares through the Ajman Transport Authority's official channels before travelling.
The revised tariff reflects the UAE's transparent monthly fuel pricing policy while ensuring the continued sustainability of public transport services across the emirate.
