Dubai Completes 104 Real Estate Projects Worth Over AED 111 Billion in H1 2026

Dubai’s real estate sector continued its strong growth trajectory during the first half of 2026, with 104 property projects completed at a combined investment value exceeding AED 111 billion, according to data from the Dubai Land Department (DLD).

The figures underline the continued expansion of one of Dubai’s most important economic sectors, supported by strong investor demand, new housing supply and sustained development activity across the emirate.

Project completions jump nearly 39%

The number of completed real estate projects increased by more than 38.7% year-on-year, rising from 75 projects during the first half of 2025 to 104 projects in the corresponding period of 2026.

At the same time, the combined investment value of completed projects climbed from AED 73 billion to more than AED 111 billion, representing growth of approximately 52%.

The sharp increase reflects the scale of investment flowing into Dubai’s property market and the continued confidence of developers and investors in the emirate’s long-term growth prospects.

More than 24,500 new units added

Dubai also recorded a significant increase in new property supply.

According to DLD figures, 24,537 new real estate units were completed during the first six months of 2026, compared with 18,043 units during the same period a year earlier.

That represents growth of more than 36% in the number of new units entering the market.

The expanding supply comes as Dubai continues to experience population growth and strong demand from residents, international investors and people relocating to the emirate.

Completed building area reaches 1.95 million square metres

The total built-up area completed and ready for handover also increased substantially.

Around 1.95 million square metres of construction was completed during the first half of 2026, up from approximately 1.58 million square metres during the same period of 2025.

This represents growth of more than 23.4%.

Land values record sharp increase

One of the biggest increases was recorded in the cost of land allocated to completed projects.

The value reached approximately AED 19.46 billion during the first half of 2026, compared with AED 8.27 billion a year earlier — an increase of more than 135%.

Meanwhile, the total area of land allocated to completed projects roughly doubled to around one million square metres, compared with 484,000 square metres in H1 2025.

Sheikh Hamdan highlights investor confidence

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, said the sector’s strong performance reflects growing international confidence in Dubai’s economy and investment environment.

He said the figures demonstrate Dubai’s progress toward the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy and strengthen its position among the world’s leading economic cities.

Dubai’s appeal to investors continues to be supported by its advanced infrastructure, evolving regulatory framework, digital services and business environment.

Real estate remains central to Dubai’s growth

Property continues to play a major role in Dubai’s wider economic diversification strategy.

The strong rise in project completions, investment value, housing supply and construction activity indicates that the sector remains attractive to both developers and investors despite the scale of new supply entering the market.

With developers continuing to deliver projects launched during recent years and additional residential developments scheduled for completion, Dubai’s property market is expected to remain one of the emirate’s most closely watched economic sectors during the second half of 2026.
