Dubai Police rescue hiker lost in Hatta Mountains after extensive two-day search

Dubai Police rescue stranded Arab nationals after a tough search mission with several emergency and rescue teams involved in Hatta. On receiving the call for assistance, he said the Help Control room received information about that distressed person who was lost in the rough beautiful mountain area.


Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, said the specialized rescue units were immediately deployed to search for the missing person. The operation was a combined effort from multiple agencies, and complicated by incorrect location information as well as the remote mountain terrain.

A ground search operation by the Brave Team was carried out along with Hatta Police patrols, Dubai Police Air Wing units, National Ambulance air units, National Guard patrol and several ambulance crews. The rescue teams were met with steep slopes and difficult terrain while searching for the missing climber.


Nevertheless, they kept at it; and days later, teams found the man who was stuck. He was administered with on-scene medical treatment and evacuated to safety.
