Emirates Introduces EMI Payment Option for Indian Travellers

Dubai, UAE — Emirates has launched a new Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) payment option for customers in India, allowing travellers to book flights and pay in flexible monthly instalments. The initiative aims to make international travel more accessible for one of the airline’s largest global markets.

Flexible Payment Plans Across Major Indian Banks

The EMI feature is now available on the Emirates India website and supports credit cards issued by 12 leading Indian banks, including Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, HSBC, and Bank of Baroda. Travellers can convert their ticket cost into instalments ranging from 3 to 36 months, depending on the bank’s terms.

Emirates said the new payment option is designed to offer customers greater convenience and financial flexibility, particularly for families, long haul travellers, and passengers booking premium cabins.

Simple Booking Process

Passengers booking through emirates.com/in can select the EMI option at checkout. Once the transaction is completed, the issuing bank processes the conversion into monthly instalments. Interest rates and processing fees vary by bank.

Strengthening Emirates’ Presence in India

India remains one of Emirates’ most important markets, with the airline operating flights to multiple cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi. The introduction of EMI payments is expected to support demand for travel to Dubai and Emirates’ network of more than 140 destinations worldwide.

Enhancing Customer Experience

Emirates said the initiative reflects its commitment to improving customer experience and offering more flexible payment solutions tailored to regional needs. The airline has been expanding digital services and payment options across several markets as part of its broader customer centric strategy.
