Etihad to offer free medical travel insurance for tourists for up to 15 days

Etihad Airways has announced a new initiative that will provide complimentary medical travel insurance to international visitors flying to Abu Dhabi. Introduced in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) Abu Dhabi and The National Insurance Company – Daman, the offer is available from July to December 2026 and covers eligible travellers for up to 15 days during their stay in the UAE.

The insurance is automatically included with qualifying Etihad tickets, eliminating the need for any separate registration process. International passengers travelling on Etihad-operated flights to Abu Dhabi, with both the point of sale and departure located outside the UAE, will be eligible. Visitors taking advantage of Etihad’s free Stopover Programme can also benefit from the coverage throughout their stay.
