What Is the Visa?

It is designed for tourists, frequent travellers, family visitors, and business travellers who regularly visit the UAE and need greater flexibility than a standard tourist visa provides, eliminating the hassle and cost of applying for a new visa each time.

How Long Can You Stay?

Visitors can stay in the UAE for up to 90 days on each visit, with the option to extend that stay once for a further 90 days. However, the total period spent in the country must not exceed 180 days within a single year. Authorities have advised visa holders to monitor their length of stay carefully to avoid overstaying penalties, and travellers can check their entry and exit history using the UAE's travel movement report to ensure they remain within the permitted period.

Who Can Apply?

The visa is not limited to any particular nationality. Citizens of all countries can apply, provided they meet the eligibility requirements. Because it is self-sponsored, applicants can apply independently without depending on a UAE-based employer, relative, or other third party to act as guarantor.

While the upfront cost is higher than a single short-term tourist visa, authorities note it represents significant value over five years given the multiple entries it allows.

Applicants who prefer in-person assistance can also apply through Customer Happiness Centres and Amer Service Centres across the country.
