flydubai Resumes Direct Dubai–Budapest Flights, With Daily Service Coming in October
flydubai is bringing back its direct connection between Dubai and Budapest, giving UAE travellers a convenient non-stop option for visiting the Hungarian capital.
The Dubai-based airline will resume flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) from July 31, 2026.
Three flights a week initially
The reinstated route will initially operate three times a week from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.
The service is designed to cater to leisure travellers, business passengers and those visiting friends and relatives, while reconnecting the UAE with one of Central Europe’s most popular destinations.
The non-stop journey takes approximately seven hours, making the route a convenient option for travellers looking to avoid connecting flights.
Daily flights from October
flydubai is also planning to significantly increase capacity on the route.
From October 25, 2026, the Dubai–Budapest service will increase to daily flights, offering travellers greater flexibility when planning autumn and winter trips.
The route is also part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, providing passengers with additional connectivity through Dubai.
Budapest remains a popular European getaway
Budapest is known for its historic architecture, Danube River views, cultural attractions and famous thermal baths, making it a popular destination for both short city breaks and longer European holidays.
The return of direct flights is expected to make the Hungarian capital more accessible to travellers from the UAE and passengers connecting through Dubai.
With services returning from July 31 and daily operations scheduled from October, the Dubai–Budapest route is set to strengthen travel links between the UAE and Hungary ahead of the busy winter travel season.
