Saudi Awwal Bank Launches Saudi Arabia’s First Qatar Airways Privilege Club Co-Branded Credit Card
Riyadh: Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) has partnered with Qatar Airways Privilege Club to launch the first co-branded Qatar Airways Privilege Club credit card in Saudi Arabia, offering customers a range of travel rewards and premium benefits.
The new SAB Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Infinite Credit Card marks the first collaboration of its kind between Qatar Airways Privilege Club and a Saudi bank. The card enables customers to earn Avios, the airline loyalty programme’s reward currency, through everyday purchases and redeem them for flights, upgrades, holiday packages, shopping, dining, and other travel-related experiences.
Cardholders will earn Avios on eligible domestic and international spending, as well as on Qatar Airways flight bookings. New customers will also receive a welcome bonus of 10,000 Avios, along with opportunities to earn additional bonus Avios by reaching spending milestones.
The card also offers a fast-track pathway to Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold Tier, providing enhanced travel privileges and exclusive member benefits.
Avios earned through the programme can be redeemed for flights across the Qatar Airways network, partner airlines within the oneworld alliance, cabin upgrades, Qatar Airways Holidays packages, and purchases at Qatar Duty Free.
Qatar Airways currently operates 138 weekly flights from eight Saudi Arabian gateways to its hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha, offering onward connections to more than 160 destinations worldwide.
SAB said the new credit card is designed to meet the growing demand for premium banking products that combine financial services with travel rewards, allowing customers to maximise the value of their daily spending.
Bandar Al-Gheshayan, Chief Wealth and Personal Banking Officer at SAB, said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to delivering innovative banking solutions tailored to customers’ evolving lifestyles and travel aspirations.
Ali Bailoun, Senior Vice President and Group General Manager for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman at Visa, said consumers in the Kingdom are increasingly looking for payment solutions that complement their travel and lifestyle needs while offering greater value from everyday transactions.
The launch further strengthens SAB’s premium credit card portfolio and expands travel-focused financial offerings in Saudi Arabia by combining banking services with one of the world’s leading airline loyalty programmes.
