UAE announces Eid Al Adha prayer timings across the emirates

Abu Dhabi: The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat has announced the official Eid Al Adha prayer timings across the UAE as worshippers prepare to gather at mosques nationwide on Wednesday morning to celebrate one of the holiest occasions in the Islamic calendar.

 

Al Adha Prayer Timings in the UAE

Abu Dhabi – 5:51am
Dubai – 5:45am
Sharjah – 5:45am
Ajman – 5:45am
Ras Al Khaimah – 5:43am
Fujairah – 5:43am
Umm Al Quwain – 5:44am

The authority noted that timings may vary slightly depending on officially approved prayer schedules and geographical differences across regions.

 

Spiritual Significance of Eid Prayer

Muslims perform the Eid prayer shortly after sunrise in congregation at mosques and designated prayer grounds. The prayer includes two units led by an imam, followed by a sermon highlighting the spiritual values of Eid Al Adha such as:

Sacrifice
Compassion
Gratitude
Unity and togetherness
Worshippers also begin the morning with takbeerat, glorifying God before exchanging Eid greetings and celebrating with family and friends.

 

Theme of This Year’s Eid Sermon

The authority confirmed that this year’s Eid sermon across UAE mosques will be delivered under the theme:

“Our Eid is Truthfulness and Sacrifice”

The sermon will focus on important humanitarian and spiritual values inspired by Eid Al Adha, including:

Sincerity and honesty
Sacrifice and compassion
Social solidarity and community cohesion
Strengthening family ties
Promoting tolerance, generosity and mutual care
