UAE leaders offer Eid Al Adha prayer, exchange greetings with worshippers

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan offered prayers on Eid Al Adha Wednesday at the remarkable Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi where also in attendance with him were many top leaders, officials and worshippers from across the country.

Leaders Attend Eid Prayers in Abu Dhabi

Joining the UAE President during the Eid prayers were:

  • Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan — Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court

  • Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan — Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

  • Several Sheikhs, senior officials, and worshippers

 

Following the prayers, Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Eid greetings with worshippers and later recited Al Fatiha in memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Eid Sermon Focuses on Sincerity and Sacrifice

Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, delivered the Eid sermon entitled “Our Eid is sincerity and sacrifice.”

Key Themes of the Sermon

  • Importance of honesty in society

  • Loyalty and service to the nation

  • Unity and sincerity in leadership

  • Strengthening social harmony and national values


Dr Al Darei highlighted that the UAE leadership built the nation on principles of honesty, sincerity, and unity, helping establish a strong and stable country.

He also stressed that truthful people serve as protectors of their homeland through loyalty and positive actions.

Eid Prayers Across Other Emirates

Rulers and Crown Princes across the UAE also joined worshippers to mark the blessed occasion.

Dubai
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, performed Eid Al Adha prayers at Zabeel Grand Mosque alongside officials, citizens, and residents.

Sharjah
Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, led prayers at Sharjah Mosque in the presence of:

 

  • Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi

  • Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi

  • Senior officials and worshippers


Ras Al Khaimah
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi offered Eid prayers at Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Mosque with:

 

  • Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi

  • Federal and local officials

  • Members of Arab and Islamic communities


Fujairah

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi performed prayers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah alongside:

  • Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi

  • Senior officials and Sheikhs

The Fujairah Ruler later exchanged Eid greetings with worshippers.

 

Umm Al Quwain

Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla performed Eid prayers at Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mu'alla Mosque accompanied by:

 

  • Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla

  • Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla

  • Senior officials and worshippers

Ajman

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi offered Eid prayers at Al Zaher Palace Mosque in Ajman alongside:

 

  • Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi

  • Senior officials

  • Citizens and residents

Many worshippers attended mosques in the UAE to celebrate Eid Al Adha with their families and communities, immersed in a spirit of faith, unity, love and gratitude.
