UAE Residents Invited to Send a 'Thank You' Message to the Nation

Residents, citizens, visitors, and friends of the UAE are being invited to record a personal message of gratitude to the country as part of the nationwide "Thank You UAE" campaign, a digital initiative launched by the Dubai-based Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA).

The campaign invites people to record a message of thanks to the country in their own words, celebrating the UAE's resilience, stability, and status as a home for people of all backgrounds. It has already drawn an overwhelming response, with hundreds of thousands of messages submitted from people representing 136 nationalities.

Hundreds of Thousands of Messages

According to SIRA, nearly half a million people, around 454,643 as of mid-July, from some 136 countries had already claimed their message for the country through the digital platform. The agency has set an ambitious goal of reaching one million messages as the campaign continues to expand across the country.

Why the Campaign Was Launched

SIRA launched the initiative to celebrate the country's resilience and stability, and to counter misinformation that circulated during the recent geopolitical conflict in the region. Dr Mohamed Al Hasan, Director of Media at SIRA, said the campaign was a response to rumours that had portrayed the UAE as an "unstable country" during the period of regional tension.

"Everyone confirmed through their messages and also on social media that the UAE is truly a home for everyone," Al Hasan said, adding that the outpouring of gratitude reflected the deep sense of belonging shared by the country's diverse population.

Expanding Into Workplaces

The campaign has now entered a new field phase, taking the initiative directly into workplaces across the country. SIRA launched this stage at Dubai Customs, where Dr Abdulla Busenad, Director-General of Dubai Customs, recorded the first message on the campaign platform in the presence of Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of SIRA. Dubai Customs staff followed, logging their own messages on tablets set up at the department's headquarters.

Following its launch at Dubai Customs, the campaign is set to expand to government, semi-government, and private sector organisations across Dubai before rolling out nationwide, with participation remaining open to all employees and clients through the campaign platform.

How to Take Part

Emiratis, residents, visitors, and friends of the UAE can all take part by recording their own personal message of thanks through the official campaign platform. The initiative forms part of a broader wave of community campaigns encouraging expressions of unity and national pride, alongside efforts such as the online UAE national pledge, which similarly invites citizens and residents to affirm their commitment to the country and its leadership.
