UAE weather: Partly cloudy conditions; temperatures to hit 49°C in some areas
Residents across the UAE can expect fair to partly cloudy weather on Monday, August 31, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Temperatures will remain high across the country, while humid conditions and a chance of fog or mist are expected in some areas overnight and on Tuesday morning.
Humid Conditions and Chance of Fog
The NCM said humidity will increase during the night and into Tuesday morning, particularly over some coastal and internal areas.
There is also a possibility of fog or mist formation in these locations.
Humidity levels are forecast to range between:
Abu Dhabi: 15% to 90%
Dubai and Sharjah: 20% to 75%
Temperatures to Reach 49°C
The UAE will experience hot conditions, with temperatures expected to reach 49°C in some internal areas.
Forecast temperatures include:
Abu Dhabi: High of 44°C, low of 30°C
Dubai: High of 43°C, low of 31°C
Sharjah: High of 42°C, low of 30°C
Residents are advised to take precautions against the high daytime temperatures, particularly during outdoor activities.
Winds Could Bring Blowing Dust
Winds are expected to be light to moderate, blowing from southeast to northwest and occasionally becoming stronger.
Wind speeds are forecast at 10–25 kmph, potentially reaching 40 kmph at times. Stronger gusts could lead to blowing dust, particularly in exposed areas.
Seas to Remain Slight
Marine conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Overall, the UAE can expect another hot day, with partly cloudy skies, increasing humidity overnight and the possibility of reduced visibility due to fog, mist or blowing dust in some areas.
