UAE weather: Red alert issued for fog; gradual increase in temperatures

The UAE is expected to experience a gradual increase in temperatures on Thursday, June 18, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). While skies will remain generally fair, partly cloudy conditions may develop in eastern regions. Authorities have also issued red and yellow fog alerts until 9:00 AM, urging motorists to drive carefully due to reduced visibility on roads.


Temperature Forecast Across the UAE


Temperatures are expected to climb across several parts of the country, with some inland areas nearing extreme heat levels.

Dubai: 40°C
Mezaira: 48°C
Razeen: 47°C
Al Quaa: 46°C
Gasyoura: 46°C
Sweihan: 45°C


Fog Alert and Humidity Warning


The NCM has advised residents to remain cautious during the morning hours due to dense fog conditions affecting visibility in several areas.


Weather Highlights:

 

  • Red and yellow fog alerts in effect until 9:00 AM

  • Humidity levels may reach up to 90% in some coastal and inland areas

  • Humid conditions expected during the night and early Friday morning, especially in western regions

  • Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds at 10–20 km/h, reaching up to 30 km/h

  • Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea
