When will summer end in the UAE? Here's the official date
The autumnal equinox, when it officially becomes autumn in the UAE, is on September 23 this year. Meteorological fall begins on September 1, but astronomers say the start of the season is September 23. This was announced by Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomical Society as well as member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences.
The Suhail star, a traditional glimpse of much cooler air in the region, begins to break through during the last third of August from Al Jarwan added that for the hottest time period in the country which is Al Qayz will shortly cool down. The Indian seasonal low-pressure system can remain strong through much of September, but eventually weakens and opens the door for more comfortable temperatures over the weeks to come.
What to Expect During September
As the temperatures gradually taper off, normal late-summer weather conditions can still be expected for the UAE.

Southerly and southeasterly winds will also prevail during the first months of the period, whilst afternoon and evening sea breezes from north-west will dominate these coastal regions.
Summer Heat Still Continues
The astronomical summer started on June 21, with the solstice marking the beginning of hot weather associated with daytime temperatures between 41 and 43 °C while several regions reach over 50 °C during heat-waves.
After the middle of August, higher humidity together with seasonal optimal winds help enhance exceptional thunderstorms over the Hajar Mountains. Such weather systems sometimes result in Al Rawayeh summer thunderstorms (localized rain storms), which break the long hours of intense summer heat.

Residents have been adapting their daily routines to avoid the extreme temperatures as it was planned for more outdoor activities during cooler mornings and evenings for - but other than that, its indoor points all day long.
