Qatar Warns Against Verbal Abuse Through Phone Calls and Private Messages
Under Article 330 of the Qatar Penal Code, insulting or verbally abusing another person through a telephone call or any other private form of communication — excluding public communication — is considered a criminal offence in Qatar. The law is designed to prevent harassment, offensive language, and personal abuse carried out through direct calls or other private one-to-one communication methods.
Qatari authorities handle such cases seriously in order to protect personal dignity, mutual respect, and social harmony. Any individual found guilty of verbally insulting another person through these means may face legal consequences.
